Addition and Subtraction of Expressions
Algebraic expressions are added and subtracted by combining similar terms.
Examples: ( x + y) + (x - y) = x + y + x – y = 2x
(3a2 – 2) - (2a2 – 3a + 4) = 3a2 – 2 – 2a2 + 3a – 4 = a2 + 3a -6
